New airline routes and aviation news

Time for a dose of news from the aviation world. We start off this week’s post with the Polish flag carrier LOT Polish Airlines. Those of you who fly on the Warsaw – New York route may want to know that as of October 29, 2012, the service will be transferred from Airport Newark to John F. Kennedy Airport.

The Dutch-based leisure carrier Arkefly offers now seasonal flights to the popular Greek destination – Preveza. The Amsterdam – Preveza route is in operation until August 22, 2012. New airline routes: LOT, TAP Portugal and Air France

The recent days saw the resumption of flights Warsaw – Beirut by the Polish flag carrier LOT Polish Airlines. Warsaw travellers may now enjoy three weekly flights to this fascinating Middle-Eastern metropolis.

Airline news – new routes and services

February 13th, 2012

We start off this February-week with a handful of new routes from various, mainly European, airlines. First on the menu, is the Danish airline Cimber Air. Cimber recently expanded its offer of flights to Madeira. The new Billund – Funchal flights are operated weekly.

Another Scandinavian carrier, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, launched new service connecting Oslo with Geneva on a weekly basis. This route complements SAS’ flights offer to Geneva from the two other Scandinavian capitals.

We start off with the British-based low-cost carrier bmibaby. Bmibaby resumed flights connecting its hub in East Midlands Airport. The carrier has served the East Midlands – Toulouse route previously and has now relaunched it.
