Germanwings baggage allowance 2012. An update

Today’s post is an update of Germanwings‘ baggage policy. This German-based low-cost airline announced recently a change which isn’t exactly in keeping with what most no-frills airlines do. They increased the baggage allowance!

Austrian Airlines baggage allowance 2012. An update

Today we present an update of the baggage allowance of Austrian Airlines, a daughter company of Lufthansa and a member of the Star Alliance. We start off as always with hand baggage.

When flying with Austrian Airlines, one is allowed to carry onto the plane one item of cabin baggage not exceeding 55x40x23 cm and weighing up to  8 kg. Larger baggage will have to be checked in. Moreover, one is permitted to have a personal item. The maximum size of such an item is 40x30x10 cm.

Wizz Air: experimental new baggage policy august 2012

If you happen to fly with the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air, we bet you want to know about the changes to the baggage policy of this airline. Wizz Air is about to introduce a new set of rules for cabin baggage allowance.

The new rules applies to flights Katowice – London and London – Katowice booked after July 9 scheduled for travel from August 1 on. If you are going to travel in this period but have already booked your ticket, the changes do not apply to you.
