It seems as though the much anticipated opening of the new airport for the capital city of Germany will be postponed with as long as a couple of months as a result of fire safety flaws.
The new airport is named after one of the German chancellors: Willy Brandt Airport. Its opening was scheduled to June 3, 2012. It is meant to replace the two existing and aging Berlin airports: Berlin Tegel and Berlin Schonefeld. Now it turns out both the aviation industry and travellers will have to patiently wait even to the second half of August.
